From the Lab

Every AI agent we run earns its own track record

We don’t just turn AI loose on our own operations — every agent has an identity, a history, and outcomes we can actually check.

Status: running in our own day-to-day operations today.

As we’ve put more AI to work running parts of our own business — watching for problems, proposing fixes, triaging support — the question that mattered most wasn’t whether any single agent could do its job. It was how we’d know, over time, which ones were actually earning our trust.

So every agent we run now has its own identity — not just “the AI,” but a specific, named process with its own history. What it decided, what it did, and — whenever a person made a call on its work — whether that call was a yes, a no, or a correction. All of it is tracked back to the exact agent that did the work, not lumped into one undifferentiated pile.

This doesn’t change what an agent is allowed to do on its own — every action still goes through the same human approval it always has. What it changes is that we can now ask, agent by agent, a real question with a real answer behind it: is this one earning more trust, or does it need a closer look? That’s the question that should decide what an agent gets to do next — not a guess.
