Refunds and cancelled plans need a second person’s sign-off

Money coming in goes straight through. Money going out waits for a teammate — and never the one who asked.

Status: field-tested internally — not yet a standard part of the platform.

Letting staff — or an AI assistant working for them — issue refunds and change billing plans saves real time. It also creates a real risk: a mistake, or a bad actor, moving money out of the business with nobody else looking.

So we split it by direction. A change that brings money in, like raising a plan or moving a charge earlier, goes straight through. A change that sends money out or stops it coming in — a refund, a cancelled or paused plan, a lower amount, a later charge date — goes to a second teammate for approval, picked at random from the people who didn’t ask, so it doesn’t sit waiting on the owner.

Whoever asked can never approve their own request, and the check runs again at the moment the change is made, not only when it was requested. The team moves fast in the easy direction, and every staff request to move money out gets a second set of eyes.
